Change happens!! There's no need to fear it. Instead try to make the change what you want it to be. Take action to create the result you want from the change.
My client "Rose" was so overwhelmed with anxiety. After her third panic attack she decided to see if I could help her. Her husband was promoted with his company, and they had to move to a different state. She had lived in Massachusetts for over 40 years. New England was all she knew. In two month's time, they would be living in South Carolina. In order for her to take charge of this new change in her life, I had her list the fears she was feeling towards the move. We tackled each fear one by one until she felt in control of the situation. Her biggest fear was not having any friends in SC. I had her search on Meetup for some groups she could join. Not only did she find a few that interested her, but she quickly became email friends with the organizer of one of the groups. After tackling her fears, we moved to the exciting things she could/should focus on regarding her move. **NEVER HAVING TO SHOVEL AGAIN** was the most exciting part!!
With her fears conquered and her focus on the positive, "Rose" lost her anxiety and her panic attacks never came back. She learned that even though the move was a big change, she wouldn't let the fear of it control her life. She took charge. She is ready to leave the home she's always known for a new and exciting life in South Carolina.
